A great place to go for comfort food. Always reminds me of a good southern meal. The gift shop is always fun. A lot of unique novelties.
Don't order carry out!! I waited 1 hour and 6 minutes for the special of the day that is already cooked and a simple omelet. The absolute worst service.
Our family loves Cracker Barrel but we were disappointed. Portion sizes were small. We had meat loaf which was about 1 inch thick and just warm. Side salad was ordered with the balsamic herb dressing. The dressing had a great flavor. Loved it. The salad lettuce with 2 small pieces of cucumber and 2 cherry tomatoes. No other vegetable very disappointed. Apples were great as usual. GO back to bigger meat portions.
I ordered meatloaf which came with a few sides. The meatloaf was served lukewarm and so was the soup. The food was average and if it was served at the right temperature, I'd give them three stars. The server was polite and attentive, but I guess the operations in the kitchen need to be overhauled. The ambiance was quite nice though.
My sister and I stopped here for dinner during our long drive home. I'm not sure where we were but cracker barrel always has good food. I had the haddock with Mac n cheese and broccoli. Jodi had the pot roast or something. Christina our waitress was very pleasant and made sure our glasses were always full. Very friendly people in that area.
